Corrections Policy

How errors of fact are corrected, how entries may be updated, and how disputed content is handled.

Requesting a correction

Residents, named parties, management, and any reader may request a correction by contacting press@enakitown.com. The request should identify the specific page and entry, the alleged inaccuracy, and any supporting materials.

Evaluation

Each request is evaluated in good faith. Where a request is supported by documentation, the relevant entry is corrected, contextualised, or removed. Where the request is contested, both the original entry and the submitted response are presented side by side.

Categories of correction

  • Factual correction: the entry is updated and an editor note records the change.
  • Clarification: additional context is appended without removing the original wording.
  • Right of response: the response is published in full alongside the entry.
  • Removal: the entry is removed where a credible privacy, safety, or accuracy concern requires it.

Timeliness

The platform aims to acknowledge correction requests within a reasonable period and to publish corrections promptly once the relevant materials have been reviewed.

Public record of corrections

Significant corrections are recorded on the Documentation Updates page so readers can see how the archive has evolved over time.

No assertion of guilt

A correction does not constitute an admission of liability by the platform or by any party. It reflects the platform’s commitment to accuracy and to giving named parties a fair opportunity to respond.
